2070E Traffic Controller from McCain Inc.

McCainfs 2070E Controller is designed in full compliance with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) 2009 Transportation Electrical Equipment Specifications (TEES) making this controller the official enhanced version of the 2070L. The controller received Caltrans approval and is included on their Qualified Product List (QPL).

Several new features of the 2070E controller enhance its overall operability and, in some cases, surpass the requirements set forth by TEES 2009, including: an integrated 4-port network switch, 32MB of system memory and 4MB R2 drive for increased processing power, 32Mb data key capacity, and two Ethernet ports and expansion capability across the motherboard.

The 2070E is interchangeable with standard 170 and 2070L controllers, allowing end users to upgrade existing intersections to a modern high]performance platform without replacing cabinet hardware. The controllerfs OS]9 operating system supports a variety of applications based on the software control package used, including: intersection control, ramp metering, variable message signs, and changeable lane control. McCainfs 2033 Intersection Control Software will seamlessly operate on both 2070E and 2070L controllers, allowing both to run simultaneously on the same network.
